INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS
We travel with top airlines, particularly Singapore and Northwest/KLM. (You can also book a land package only if you have earned mileage). In our website you will see that we have priced our trips from Los Angeles, New York and/or Miami. Most flights leave in the evenings to allow for connecting flights from across the United States. We can book connection "Add-on" flights from many major hubs in the United States, at a competitive price. You will find the following prompt in each destination section where you can find ADD-ON prices for your preferred city. > Click here to find your flight add-on fare. These charts may also be accessed on the home page.
If you purchase the land and air package, your airport transfers are upon arrival and departure from our destination are also included.
CITY-TO-CITY TRANSPORTATION
Transport from city to city is included in the trip. Djoser has arranged the transportation in advance. Generally we travel with our own bus, van or private care, depending on the group size. We break up long distances by stopping at lovely nature sites or little markets. Our groups are small enough that this is not a nightmare experience! On some trips, we may cruise for several nights, such as on the Yangtze or in Turkey.
LOCAL TRANSPORT
Once in cities, we do lots of exploring on foot. An important theme for any Djoser trip is local interaction. We use the local modes of transport such as tuk-tuk, rickshaw, horse and carriage, subway and taxi. In-city transport is at your expense. Sometimes we will use organized transport for a planned group activity which is outside city limits, such as to the Great Wall or the pyramids. In some cases, this transport is included in the cost of the trip.
For our camping safaris, we use rugged, open-air safari trucks and vehicles, with built in kitchen facilities. These are large, sturdy trucks or converted buses which are comfortable and perfectly capable of dealing with the unpaved terrain. These require a large step up and may be challenging for some travelers. For our lodge/hotel safaris, we use a more comfy vehicle, which is air-conditioned.
You will find examples of our vehicles in these photographs. These are typical and are subject to change.
