You will find in this city an interesting combination of East and West. There are over 400 temples and markets, a feast for the eyes. Bangkok has more than 8 million registered inhabitants, but the actual figure is probably around 13 million. It is a very busy city with an area of approximately 974 square miles.
In Petchaburi we start with the first bike ride of our trip. This city is a cultural-historical center with impressive temples and a beautiful national park. The cycle tour takes us for a trip of about 24 miles through rural areas, through green paddy fields and swaying palm trees to Cha-Am. Cha-Am is a fairly new resort with beautiful sandy beaches.
