During Djoser's Biking tours, travel by bicycle on a multi-day bike ride. There is no problem with a tightly scheduled itinerary. On rest days you can take additional bicycle trips or spend this time however you like, the courier can always offer tips and suggestions. You are obviously not required to participate. The nature of our trips and the local circumstances lends itself to unforeseen situations. Therefore it could be that a bike or activity can not take place or be adjusted. We travel in groups of around 16 and maximum 20 people.

Our bicycle tour starts in the fascinating Cape Town. The history of this city of contrasts speaks to everyone's imagination. The colonial buildings and the famous Table Mountain determine the face of Cape Town. When you standing in the city, you always see the imposing steep mountains. Clouds and fog which lie above the flat top appear as if they were a tablecloth.
Of course we have the first day in Cape Town with enough time to visit the city. Cape Town is full of historic sites. Walking along Kloof Street you find antique shops and on Greenmarket Square there is a lively market every day. You can also visit the Grand Parade, the 17th century parade ground where once apartheid demonstrations were held and where Nelson Mandela, after his release, spoke to the multitudes. Those who wish to can also take a boat to the famous Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. This can be done from from the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, where you find colorful Victorian houses and numerous restaurants, jazz cafes and other entertainment.
The second day in Cape Town, we make a tour of the Cape Peninsula heading to the Cape of Good Hope. Cape of Good Hope is a nature reserve with indigenous vegetation and many animals. On the way to Cape Town to the bus stop to visit a winery, where we can view the production or simply enjoy delicious South African wines in a cozy environment.
Stellenbosch, Malgas
Day 4 Cape Town - Stellenbosch
Day 5 Stellenbosch - Malgas
We leave Cape Town and the Cape Wineland. It is a beautiful area with wooded mountains, fertile valleys and hillsides covered with vineyards. In the different wine towns you see the beautiful Cape and Victorian architecture. We stay in a beautiful lodge situated between the vineyards outside Stellenbosch. The bus drops us off in Paarl, a wine from the other towns in this area. We cycle to the Language Monument in Paarl at the Fairview winery. Fairview has been making wine since 1699 and also great tasting goat cheese. From Helshoogte then we cycle back to Stellenbosch. We drive from Stellenbosch to Bredasdorp to visit the southernmost tip of Africa, Cape Agulhas from the cape look out over the confluence of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. From the Hope Nature Reserve, we make a cycling tour where we may encounter goats and elk. On the beach you can just park the bike and walk.
Oudtshoorn
Day 6 Malgas - Swellendam - Oudtshoorn
Day 7 Oudtshoorn
In Swellendam we drive through the famous Route 62 to Oudtshoorn. You'll see the green landscape slowly transform into the semi-desert of the Little Karoo. The high mountain ranges around the area keep almost all the rain. As a result, within a short time we see the lush green landscape become a drier area with tough shrubs. Do not be surprised if you see ostriches roam the bush, Oudtshoorn is known for its ostrich farms. We get off at Oudtshoorn for a visit to the Cango Caves, famous for stalactites in all shapes and sizes. A guide leads you through the impressive caves, where you will find surprisingly large rooms, filled with beautiful stalactites. Then we cycle through our beautiful lodge situated outside Oudtshoorn.
From our well located accommodation outside Oudtshoorn, the bikers climb the Swartberg Pass. During this spectacular tour descend to Prince Albert where the bus awaits you. If the trip seems to challenging, you may choose to get to the top of the pass .
Baviaanskloof
Day 8: Oudtshoorn - Baviaanskloof

The bus takes you to the Baviaanskloof, one of the most unspoiled areas of South Africa. The gap is located between two parallel mountain ranges, which has led to a landscape of rugged cliffs and rocks. but also flora and fauna. A perfect area to explore on our comfortable bikes. From the north of the gulf located Willowmore we take a bike ride of about 30 km from Gap Nuwe to Sand Plain. During our stay in Baviaanskloof we stay in sand. Here from your accommodation you can go in search of Bavianen ziet, for they are never far away. In the beautiful area surrounding sand plain we make a tour of 20 km to a lookout. During the trip we get a clear picture of the special animals and plants found in this area, which you can view from your bike.
Plettenberg, Tsitsikamma National Park

Through Knysna, Knysna Lagoon and a bicycle ride to Buffalo Bay, we go to Plettenberg Bay. This town has mountains, white beaches and clear blue sea and is a popular holiday resort. We take a bike ride from our hotel to the Robberg Nature Reserve. Here we are the bikes for a walk of about three hours on this beautiful peninsula. In whale season you can choose a cruise with any luck you open the doors of the largest mammals in the world. The next day we cycle the Harkerville Trail, before the bus takes us to the Tsitsikamma National Park. In the famous national park, we drive one of the many beautiful cycling routes, the 'Storms River Cycle Trail.
Cape St. Francis, Addo Elephant National Park

From Humansdorp we take a bike ride to Cape St. Francis. In the afternoon you can bike on your own or enjoy the lovely beach and the surrounding area. In a journey through South Africa, a visit to a wildlife park is always close at hand. We visit the Addo Elephant National Park. In the afternoon you can take a game drive. Our last tour goes from Kirk Coerney by orange groves and along channels to the entrance of the park. Here the bus awaits ready for a game drive. In the afternoon, those who wish to may cycle back to our hotel outside the park. Finally we drive to Addo Elephant National Park to Port Elizabeth
