Djoser’s Land Program begins and ends in Nairobi. The days on this program are numbered to match the Djoser Netherland’s program so that travelers from North America and the Netherlands will all be on the same schedule. Additional travel days from the United States and back are denoted as +1, +2.

You will be met at the airport by Djoser’s land agent, who will transfer you to the hotel in Nairobi where you will spend the night. There are not guided activities in Nairobi. The pre-departure meeting will be the first time you meet with the guide and group at the designated time listed below.
DAY 1 – Nairobi (Land program begins in Nairobi)
Day at leisure; enjoy the many optional attractions and activities available. All meals will be at your own expense. On Day 1, clients should meet at SILVER SPRINGS HOTEL, VALLEY ROAD, NAIROBI. Tel: (++ 254) 722451- 4 at 6:30 PM for a pre-departure meeting. This meeting will give you all a chance to meet your fellow travelers and get to know your guides. The meeting will cover all the aspects of the trip. Please bring with you to this meeting: your passport with relevant visas and evidence of medical and personal insurance. Please also bring the Local Payment of $515. This must be paid to the tour leader prior to departure and must be paid in $ U.S. Cash. The local payment is required to cover a wide variety of our on-tour expenses, which can include National Park entrance fees, excursions and activities, certain fresh foods, vehicle tolls and entrance fees, as well as some accommodation costs while traveling throughout Africa. The local payment is that portion of the tour cost which must be paid in cash to the tour leader at the pre-departure meeting.

DAY 2 – Tarangire National Park (149 miles)
We depart at approximately 8 AM, and make our way from Nairobi and over the border into Tanzania. Your guides will assist with all formalities and after clearing customs and immigration we’ll be on our way to Tarangire National Park, which has the highest concentration of game outside the Serengeti ecosystem. Here too there are tree climbing lions, leopards and pythons as well as plains game and elephant. Afternoon game drives into the park. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. CAMPING (overnight at Wildpalm Campsite or similar)
DAYS 3 & 4 – Excursion to Serengeti National Park (224 miles)
Serengeti, which means “endless plains” in Maasai, is one of the best-known wildlife areas in the world. The park is host to the spectacular annual migration of wildebeests in late May or early June, where over 6 million hooves pound the legendary plains of the Serengeti in search of greener pastures. The park is also famous for its abundance of larger game, such as lions, leopards and elephants. The rare and almost extinct wild dogs can also be seen here if you are lucky. Morning game drive en route to camp and afternoon game drives. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. CAMPING (Seronera National Park campsite or similar)
DAY 5 – Ngorongoro Crater (81 miles)
Today we drive to Ngorongoro Crater. The gigantic crater is one of the wonders of the world, and is teeming with wildlife and birdlife, which are forever in the crater. We will descend into the crater using 4x4 vehicles for a game drive. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. CAMPING (Simba National Park campsite or similar)
DAY 6 – Arusha (162 miles)
After breakfast we drive back to Arusha nestled in the shadow of Mt. Meru. You are free to visit the colourful markets in and around the town or just relax. Breakfast and Lunch. Dinner will be at your own expense. CAMPING (Meserani Snake Park or similar)
DAY 7 – Arusha to Nairobi (200 miles)
Transfer to Nairobi after an early breakfast, where you can enjoy the balance of the day at your leisure. Breakfast, lunch. Dinner will be at your own expense.
DAY 8 – Nairobi, Tour Ends – Depart Nairobi (land program ends in Nairobi)
After breakfast, our land agent's portion of the tour ends and the other travelers will disperse at this point. All Djoser travelers will be transferred to the airport where they will continue on their flights to the United States.
