TRIP CODE: JA-20. On this group tour of Japan you will join adventurous travelers from Holland and Belgium. In Tokyo you get to know the modern capital, but also the old Zen temples in Kamakura. Flying to Matsumoto on a clear day you can see the sacred volcano Fuji. In Takayama, and the ancient capital Kyoto, you will see wooden houses and old temples. The Todai-ji temple in Nara is the largest Buddha statue in Japan. In the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Dome one cannot help but reflect on the end of Second World War. On the southern island of Kyushu one can make a trip to the Aso Volcano. We travel mainly by Japan’s Shinkansen, the super-fast "bullet train", and stay in hotels and typical Japanese family hotels called minshukus.
