From Amman we visit the Roman provincial town of Jerash. Because Jerash was covered with sand for centuries due to an it is exceptionally well preserved. After the restoration work it leaves a vibrant impression of Jerash. At the theater and temples the original pavement is found below the sewer. The old center of the capital lies around the Roman theater, with many busy shopping streets and the King Hussein Mosque, which are worth a visit. The modern Shmeisani district is the entertainment center for the residents of Amman, where you can eat well and smoke or enjoy the aromatic scent of the Hookah, the large decorate pipes with ornate decorations. Amman is built on seven hills. In the evening with a taxi ride to one of these hills, you have a magnificent view of the illuminated city. From Amman we make an excursion to the eastern desert castles. On the ride through the desert, you see these castles with their protective coloration suddenly rise up from the sand. If you are the barren, dry area around the castle, you can hardly imagine that there were forests here centuries ago. In al-Amra in the eighth century Ommayaden rulers came to indulge in revelry and hunting. Beautiful murals of these are testament to the times. Here, n 1917 was the army of Lawrence of Arabia during the Arab march on Jerusalem. The other half-day trip from Amman brings us to the lowest accessible point on earth, the Dead Sea, actually a lake, and not a sea. There is so much salt in even the worst swimmers stay afloat. Swimming is really much more difficult. Because the minerals in the water, the Dead Sea is also popular as a spa. Fortunately, after the salt water, you can experience a refreshing shower and enjoy the pool at the resort where we spend half a day before we drive back to Amman.

The next day we leave early for the long but scenic drive over the King's Highway to Petra. The old road runs along the Mount Nebo, where we, like Moses overlook the holy land, and along Madaba you can admire old map of Palestine, inlaid in mosaics in the floor. The bus continues down 900 meters deep to Wadi Mujib to the Crusader castle of Kerak, where you can have lunch. Here it is still four hours drive on the winding road to Petra. Along the way, of course, the bus stops for photos! We are nearing the end of the afternoon at our hotel in Wadi Musa, the village near the ancient Nabataean city of Petra.
You have at least one full day to explore the unique city of Petra to take beautiful nature walks through it. Please note that the entrance fee of this attraction is relatively high and whether or not you use a horse, you are required to pay. After a half hour walk on the ancient pavement you come to a deep gorge in the mountains. You will be surprised by the impressive sight of the yellow-pink rocks of the Treasury. This tomb is the first and most famous monument in Petra. The rocks surrounding the city have a beautiful color. You can walk to visit many beautiful tombs to visit, which until recently, were inhabited by Bedouin families.

After a full day in Petra, you have a morning walk in the pink city. After lunch on the second day, a bus takes you over two hours from Petra to Wadi Rum for a spectacular night under the stars in the desert. During an optional jeep safari through the rugged landscape of multicolored rocks you can visit the place where Lawrence of Arabia pitched his camp. Beside the movie of the same name, American producers often utilized this location for “Wild West” films .

After 'sand' it is the time for "sea" in the seaside town of Jordan, Aqaba. The temperature is always nice Aqaba is a pleasant place at the end of the journey to rest and enjoy the beach. In the Red Sea you can splendid snorkelling and diving. The necessary equipment is available to rent and there are many dive centers in Aqaba. A fun outing is a trip on a glass bottom boat through which you can view the sea life. Of course you can shop in this city for your last souvenirs. The bus finally brings you from Aqaba to Amman late in the afternoon where the program comes to an end.
